Colts, Jets, Saints and Vikings

The battle of the Titans continues.

Today we will find out who will be going for the big prize, the payoff, I mean the final playoff. HAVE NO DOUBT, IT IS ALSO A BIG PAYOFF. Wow, I didn't mean to put that in caps. Guess my keyboard knows me better than I know myself. lol

I'm going to spend my only weekend day watching grown men play and make plenty of money doing so. And I am going to enjoy it!

I hope it has all the excitement of a Diego Corrales/Jose Luis Castillo or Manny 'PacMan' Pacquiao/Ricky 'The Hitman' Hatton fight. Or the fire and rhythm of a Keiko Matsui piece on the piano. Or the swagger and bravado of a Shaggy song. I hope it is not a one-sided blow out. I HATE those. I hope everyone shows up to play.

I hope they all win...but they can't. So we shall see. Bring it on, fellas!

WOW!!

Aloha all,

Guess what I found out last night! Can't? Give up? Okay, I'll tell you.

You know my story? The first one ever in print? Well.....it's going to be in an anthology with O M effin G..........................LEE LYNCH!

Okay, if you're a lesbian and you are wondering,"Who the heck is Lee Lynch." Shame on you and get busy doing some research. If you are a BUTCH and asking, "Who?", I'd say you had better check you butch card. It might be counterfeit. lol No, really!

For everyone else, check out some of Lee's body of work if you ever have a chance. She is a wonderful literary writer. She is a pioneer. She is the quintessential butch and has through her life and writings shown us how to live and how to love. Of course, she is also one of the most humble people I know, and would deny most of my previous ramblings. Or as my Brit friends would say, waffling. lol Not to argue with 'The Lee Lynch', but it's ALL true.

Oh, BTW, Lee Lynch will be the Keynote speaker at the GCLS (Golden Crown Literary Society) Con this year at Disney World in Florida.

...just one of the innumerable reasons YOU should be there! Just that fact alone is worth the price of admission to the Con. And besides...I'll be there. *wink*

OMG, you think Snoopy can dance(a happy dance)...just check me out.

Day 4

Check me out holding my contract. ;)

On a roll ...and I actually have something to talk about this evening!

In the mail today I received the contract to have my short story published in an anthology. My first print story. I am still in the clouds about it. Keep your eyes open for it. It should be out later this year. The name of the anthology is Women in Uniform.

Day 3

Seven days to created a new habit, 21 days to perfect it...I hear. lol

Still at it.

Day 2

Wow, two in a row. Go mommy, go mommy, it's a brithday.
lol just kidding of course.

I read this quote somewhere today:
The first sign of a nervous breakdown is when you start thinking your work is terribly important.

Funny, and in my case very true. All of us have 'important' work, but very few of us have 'terribly'; important work. It's all relative, and for me the important work is anthing we do to remain a vital part of the human experience.

Congratulations to the cast/crew of Precious for their work in such an arena.
...terribly important work, helping others to heal, sharing their stories, exposing their pain, and letting them know they are not the 'only' ones, and that they are not alone.

Day 1

In order for something to become a habit, it must be excersized on a regular basis.

In order to break a habit, one must excersize the NOT of doing on a regular basis.

One day, and already I'm nuts. lol

Just passing thru while doing weekend chores and trying to unpack more boxes and clear space so I can fill it with MORE boxes. Listening to Keiko Matsui and Chez Rider amoung others to lessen the pain.

Before the show Hoarders, there was me. Storage space is getting more and more expensive, and it is ridiculously expensive to rent a place with extra rooms for my 'stuff', some of which I haven't seen in years, and some of which (clothing) I could never fit on my pinkie again and will be another 25 years before becoming fashionable again. lol I know the difference between hoarding and collection. I, unfortunately do at least a little for both.

So, no new years resolution, just a resolve to do better, little by little, day by day, one day at a time. Even baby steps move you forward some. I really don't want my kid to have to go thru all this stuff...ya know what I mean?

Hmmm, fried fish and grits with biscuits sounds good for brunch.

See....there's my problem...I'm easily distracted. lol

Oops

Dang. I think I just created another blog site. One day I will look back on all this and laugh.

Maybe

Better

What? You don't believe me?

this IS better. Last time it took me over a year to get back here. This time is only been half that. Now THAT is progress. No one ever said it would be fast. In fact, I'm not sure I would trust fast progress.

Anyway, better is better.

And now I have some things to write about!

I will be published in print! That's right. My first preint story. Now I'm a writer. Now I gotta have somewhere for my fans to come. lolol Riiiight.

I'll write more about that later. Right now I gotta see if this is working and if I'm in the right place.
